Protection of Personal Information
cocone v corporation (hereinafter "the Company" "we" "our") views the protection of the personal information of the Customer as one of the most important administrative obligations of an Internet content service provider. The Company has established a basic policy for the handling of personal information and personally identifiable information (defined as data that could potentially identify a specific individual) denoted below, and by observing this policy, we strive to safely and properly protect such information.
Collection of Information and Purpose of Use
In the collection and handling of the information of the Customer, the Company will abide by legal and fair practices after clearly specifying our purpose of use beforehand.
Excluding cases deemed exceptions under the law, the Company will not collect any personal information beyond the scope necessary for the completion of the purpose of use without the Customer's consent, and will take the appropriate steps to do so. Personally identifiable information will only be collected within the scope of the purpose of use as stipulated by law.
Provision of Information to Third Parties
Excluding cases deemed exceptions under the law, the Company will not provide personal information to third parties (including third parties in foreign countries) without obtaining prior consent. Personally identifiable information will not be provided to third parties unless otherwise stipulated by law.
Data Security
The Company will take necessary and appropriate safety measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, destruction, falsification, and disclosure of personal information and personally identifiable information. Furthermore, we will impose strict obligations via contract on contractors that collect and handle personal information and personally identifiable information, as well as conduct all necessary and appropriate oversight of said consignees.
Continued Improvement
The Company pledges to regularly reevaluate and continually improve, through measures such as adjustments to company regulations including this policy, employee training, and implementing internal oversight, how we handle personal information and personally identifiable information to keep up with changes in social conditions and revisions to laws and ordinances.

Collection and Handling of Personal Information in Services
We at cocone v corporation (hereinafter "the Company" "we" "our") handle the personal information obtained from our customers in our Internet game services, smart phone and mobile network device application services, and our services offered on affiliated portal sites (collectively referred to hereinafter as "the Services") for the Japanese domestic market in the manner described below.
1. Definition of Personal Information
Personal information is data that is related to an individual, such as name, date of birth, telephone number, address, and e-mail address, that can be used to identify a specific person (including data that cannot be used to identify a specific person alone but can be easily referenced with other data to do so).
2. Information Provided by Customers and Purpose of Use
Personal data collected from customers through the Services will be used for the following purposes and within the scope necessary to achieve said purposes. All collection of personal information shall be conducted in a fair and legal manner that clearly states the purpose of use. In the event that the purpose of use is limited at the time the data is collected, the data will be used only within the scope of said purpose. In the unlikely event that a change to the purpose of use becomes necessary, notification of said change shall be made directly to customers and/or announced publicly.
(1) Member Registration
When a customer registers as a member, we will collect data such as gender, date of birth, and e-mail address. The purposes of use for this data is to allow the customer to use the Services, and to operate the Services in a manner that allows customers to use the Services smoothly. E-mail addresses may also be used for the purposes below.
- Communication we deem necessary for use of the Services
- Communication we deem necessary for participation in events and campaigns held within the Services
- Delivery of email newsletters and other notifications containing information regarding the Services, information on events or campaigns, update information, as well as advertising information sponsored by other businesses.
(2) Registration for the Use of Premium Services
If a customer makes use of premium services within the Services, we will collect information such as their name, telephone number, postal code, and address. The purposes of use for this data is to allow the customer to use premium services within the Services, and to collect defaulted charges for use of premium services or process refunds in the event of erroneous payments.
If a customer does not register the necessary data, this may prevent proper use of the Services.
(3) Using Phone Numbers, Address Books, and Other Social Networking Service IDs
When a customer using a smart phone or other networked mobile device uses the Services via an application made specifically for said devices, their mobile telephone number and the e-mail address saved in the address book of their mobile device, as well as IDs for social networking services managed and operated by third parties (hereinafter referred to as "Other SNS IDs") may be collected. This data will be collected only in the event that the customer chooses to register with the Services. The purposes of use and handling of this information are as follows.
- Mobile telephone number: To verify identity and as a means of communication when necessary.
- E-mail address saved in the address book of the mobile device: To make available a search feature for other friends using the Services. However, this e-mail address will only be collected temporarily each time the customer uses the feature to search for friends and will not be stored on our servers.
- Other SNS service IDs: To verify the identities of customers who login to the Services using an ID from another SNS service, and to link to other SNS services to send game information or invitations to friends on said SNS services. However, the link to other SNS services can be maintained or deleted on the websites of the Services.
- Other SNS service screen names: In the event that a customer registers for the Services using an ID from another SNS service, the "name", "nickname", or other screen name on said SNS service will be used as the customer's nickname on the Services. However, this nickname can be changed on the customer's profile page.
(4) Inquiries
When an inquiry is received from a customer regarding the Services, we will collect data such as the customer's name, date of birth, telephone number, address, e-mail address, and, as necessary, additional details for confirmation. This data will be used to respond to inquiries and to verify the member's identity.
If a customer does not register the necessary data, this may prevent an accurate response to the inquiry.
(5) Other
① Data such as name, telephone number, and address may be collected to send prizes to customers that have won events or campaigns held at undetermined times.
② There may also be cases where customer surveys are conducted to offer better services, and at such times personal information may be collected. This data will be used to create statistical data related to our Internet content service. This statistical data may be released to the public in a format that will not identify specific individuals. However, non-participation in surveys will not be grounds for denying use of the Services.
③ The Services utilizes Google Analytics from Google LLC (hereinafter referred to as "Google") and advertising features to measure, analyze, and understand user data (age, gender, hobbies and interests) from our websites in order to improve service. Analysis will at times be conducted using text files or "Cookies" created as a part of this process, and at such times there is a possibility that Google will collect certain customer data such as IP addresses. This data will be used solely to analyze website use conditions, create reports for website operators, and to provide other services. We shall bear no responsibility for damages suffered due to use of Google Analytics. User data collected by Google Analytics will be managed according to Google's Privacy Policy. Customers' use of the Services will be taken as granting permission for the data processing conducted by Google with the aforementioned methods, purposes, and proper data management.

3-2 In addition to the aforementioned in 3-1, we may share the personal information of customers with business partners in cases where business partners are necessary to provide future services and content for the Services. In such cases, we will only begin shared usage after announcing to customers the intent to share use as well as the types of personal information that will be shared, purpose of use, the scope of parties that will share use, and the name of our business partners as the parties bearing responsibility for the management of said personal information.
3-3 With the exception of the instances noted below, we will not provide personal information collected from customers to other businesses or third parties.
(1) The customer provides their consent.
(2) Doing so is in accordance with laws and ordinances.
(3) A customer violates the Terms of Service and sufficient basis is determined to exist for disclosing personal information to protect our rights, assets, or services.
(4) It is necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property, and there has been difficulty obtaining the consent of the customer in question.
(5) It is necessary to improve public health or promote the healthy development of children, and there has been difficulty obtaining the consent of the customer in question.
(6) It is necessary to comply with legally-stipulated matters executed by a government organization, a local public body, or another party that has been entrusted with this duty, and there is a risk that obtaining consent from the customer in question would interfere with said matters.
(7) If there will be a succession of business that includes provision of personal information, due to a merger, company split, transfer of operations, or other reasons.
3-4 We may deposit all or a portion of personal information collected from customers with outsourced contractors within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use.
4. Right to Disclose, Revise, Append, or Delete Personal Information from Customers
4-1 Customers are able to view and revise any registered passwords and e-mail addresses on the websites of the Services at any time. Similarly, links with other Social Networking Service IDs can also be created or deleted at any time.
4-2 In the event that a customer requests the disclosure of personal information other than a password or e-mail address, the customer shall, with the exception of the following situations, have the ability to make such a request according to procedures established separately.
(1) There is a risk that disclosure might pose harm to the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the customer or a third party.
(2) There is a risk that disclosure could significantly impede the proper execution of our business.
(3) Disclosure would violate laws and ordinances.
(4) It cannot be verified that the disclosure request came from the customer in question
4-3 If, as a result of disclosure, a customer determines that the personal information in our possession is untrue, the customer may, according to procedures established separately, request that this personal information can be revised, appended, or deleted. In such instances, we will conduct a prompt investigation of the scope necessary to complete the purpose of use, and based on the results of said investigation, revise, append, or delete the personal information in question as appropriate.
4-4 If you would like to request that personal information be disclosed, please make the request according to the procedures we have established separately. Note that a disclosure fee may be charged at the time of disclosure.
4-5 If a customer cancels use of the Services, we may delete said customer's personal information after retaining the data for a certain period in accordance with internal rules.
5. Establishment of a Safety Management System for Personal Information
5-1 A personal information manager position will be established to maintain centralized assessment and management of the circulation of personal information held internally.
5-2 Employees in charge of handling personal information shall work under the supervision of the personal information manager, with their duties and authority made clear and regulated.
5-3 Internal rules and detailed regulations regarding the protection of personal information will be put into place and observed thoroughly within the company.
5-4 A special department in charge of computer network administration and data security will be established to enact countermeasures against improper access, virus countermeasures, and other data security countermeasures such as personal information database administration.
5-5 We will continue to promote education and information campaigns concerning the handling of personal information in order to improve awareness among our employees.
5-6 We will regularly and continually conduct audits of the measures and management described in 5-1 through 5-5 above, and will endeavor to implement systematic business improvements to fix any weaknesses that are found.
6. Laws and Other Standards
6-1 We will observe all business-related laws, government-stipulated policies, and other applicable standards in handling personal information collected from customers.
6-2 We will always obtain the latest version of these business-related laws, government-stipulated policies, and other applicable standards, and in the event that revisions or amendments have been made, we shall adapt our own policies accordingly.
7. Management of Member IDs and Passwords
Personal data from customers is password protected. The password for the member ID set by a customer at the time of member registration (hereinafter referred to as "the Member ID") is data known only to the customer in question, and so viewing or changing personal information is only possible for the customer who knows said password. Thus we forbid customers from disclosing the password of their Member IDs to others. We do not have the ability to see a customer's password. We will never ask our customers for their passwords. Furthermore, we recommend that all customers log out from the website and close their web browsers after finishing use of the Services. In particular, if using a computer that is shared with others, using a computer in a public location (such as at a business, school, library, or Internet cafe), customers will need to log out as described above to prevent others from learning their personal information.
8. Use of Cookies
We use cookies to provide even better service to our customers. Cookies are small packets of data sent from our web servers to the browser of a customer's computer and then saved on its hard disk. Using cookies allows us to understand customers' use of the service, such as visit frequency, usage patterns, and the scale of customer use, and this in turn allows us to provide even better service. While customers can choose whether or not cookies are used, not allowing cookies to be saved may prevent the use of services that require a login.
9. Collection of Device and Network Information
We may collect data about a customer's device (such as CPU, memory, graphics card, free HDD space, OS, DirectX version, or terminal-specific identifiers) and network. This data is collected in order to provide service content that is compatible with the specifications of devices used by customers, as well as to operate services in a fair and stable manner. However, this data does not include any information that could be used to identify an individual.
10. Personal Information of Minors
All customers under the age of 20 are asked to first obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian before using the Services and inputting their personal information.
11. Protection of Personal Information on Linked Websites
There may be instances where outside businesses collect personal information via websites we link from our own website. However, the terms of this handling agreement shall not apply in these instances, and we shall bear no form of obligation or responsibility whatsoever for the handling of personal information by said outside business operators.

We use data collection modules provided by other companies in the applications used in our services to analyze the usage environment, measure the effectiveness of advertising, and deliver advertising.
