Introduction
Gifting is a feature that allows you to give items to your friends. It is not intended as a way to swap items.
Please use the Request Box when you want to swap items.
Requests when using the Gifting Function
Using the Gifting Function to exchange items, or promising to do so, puts you at risk of fraud and other problems between users, such as when an item is sent but one is not received in return.
Please note that using the Gifting Function to exchange items is done entirely at the user's discretion. As a general rule, even in cases when disputes arise between users, or losses are incurred as a result of fraud, we cannot provide support such as returning items or acting as an intermediary. However, any instances of fraud, harassment, or other misuse of the Gifting Function will result in the offending account being suspended indefinitely without prior notification.
Below we will take a look at some examples of actual situations from similar services.
- Promising to make a trade with an item that you do not actually own, receiving the item from the other party first, and then no longer responding to messages.
e.g. Promising to make a trade with an item that you hope to receive from your next Pure Basket.
Please refrain from making trades with items that you do not have on hand at the time you arrange the trade. For example, by falsely stating that you own an item that you do not, and requesting that the other party send their gift first. Even if you know that an item has already been released, if there is no guarantee that you will definitely obtain it, we strongly recommend that you do not arrange trades with that item. The more time passes before you obtain the item you have arranged to swap, the easier it is for misunderstandings to arise, possibly leading to a dispute even if it was not your express intent to commit fraud.
- Exchanging items through unofficial "gift parties" held by users.
e.g. Christmas and other seasonal events, gift parties, etc.
If you are thinking of organizing or taking part in an event held by users, please first make sure that everyone fully understands and consents to the details of the event. If anything about the event seems unclear, we strongly recommend that you do not participate.
- Falsely claiming that a bug or system error caused an item not to be sent or received.
There have never been any confirmed instances of items sent using the Gifting Function failing to arrive. When using the Gifting Function, please always check and make sure that you are sending to the correct recipient.
We always investigate any bugs or system errors when necessary. If you encounter something that seems like it could be a bug or system error, please let us know the details using the inquiry form.
- Using multiple accounts and promising to send an item from another account, and then no longer responding to messages.
Using multiple accounts to conduct trades makes it all the more easy for issues to arise.
